What's good, Manoli? Well it's funny that you ask..
I have registered for a Twitter account. Aren't I cutting edge? If you are inclined, by all means follow my ramblings throughout the course of the day. Too often I am away from a computer and unable to update my cubicle-bound or otherwise mobile device enabled web-surfing friends on my otherwise unknowable thoughts, opinions or situations. No longer will I withhold such knowledge from you. For knowledge is power.

News re: THE SUPREME COURT comedy group
We are changing our name once again. Surprising, I know. For those with the scorecards, it's Vile Bros > The Supreme Court > and now......
THE FOOLHARDY MANOR.
That's us. We're great. Love us. Friend us. Follow us. Fan us. Be there for our shows. Watch our videos. Come on, you know you want to.
Thanks to those who came out to our live show Friday at OTTO'S Shrunken Head on 14th St (b/w Ave A & B). It was a fun sketchprov set along with some other cool groups (and one uncool).
Upcoming show: This Friday, September 4 at The People's Improv Theater:
THE CAT-PILLOW EXPERIMENT
For one night only, a rag-tag group of scholars will be performing an unscripted show. That's right, an entire theatrical piece created before your very eyes. They'll be using your suggestions, which they will so gladly welcome. Worlds will be created and characters will be born. It is one-night only. It is improvised. It is The Cat-Pillow Experiment.
Click the name of the show for tickets.
Tickets should be bought in advance, only stand-bys available at the door.
SKETCHPROV
The Foolhardy Manor is applying for The PIT's SKETCHPROV competition:
"Improv teams and sketch teams will compete in rounds of competition that will challenge them to do the comedic art they know best in round one and to stretch into the lesser known after that. For groups that make it past round one, improv teams will do improv AND sketch, sketch teams will do sketch AND improv. Teams that advance to the finals will try their hand at Sketchprov, using the Second City routine called "The Pad."
In “The Pad” the team comes out onstage, gets suggestions from the audience for locations, activities, character motivations and so forth, jots them down on a pad - hence the name, then goes backstage for about 10 to 15 minutes while another group is performing a scene. Backstage, the team plans out the basic beats of a sketch, then returns to the stage to improvise the story they've already mapped out. "
Thanks!
Also, friends, family, lovers and stalkers, please take some time to check out and download the new demo from WEST THE DEFENDER!
After a great debut last night at Crossroads in Garwood, the gentlemen of the mysteriously named quintet will no doubt be rocking stages in the area very soon. Fan them here on Facebook so you're guaranteed to not miss any news and information. Glad to hear the boys back in top form.
Thanks for reading, friends.

So I Forgot to Tell You...
I am going away in June and not coming back until August. Sorry about that.
Hi, I'm back now. I spent 6 weeks in Europe (hate on), came back, then went to Camp Fatima, the best place in the world for a week of fun, love, magic and green airbrushing. I went there under the impression I was going to be Donkey in the week's Shrek-themed plays, instead, I got the call to the big show and was an airbrushed, super-sexy by Greek Shrek.

So, now, here I am, back at work. My toe nails still have green specks on them and my throat is a little hoarse, but I'm all the better for it.
For the uninitiated "Camp Fatima is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian organization designed for children and adults with developmental disabilities. " That's the description from the website, but it doesn't come close to describing the love, humility, sacrifice, humor, perspective, energy and magic shared by the campers, counselors, volunteers, parents & donors that make up the community. It's the best thing going on in my life and I'm already looking forward to next year's week.
For two one week sessions in August, (and other weekend events throughout the year) Camp Fatima is a get-away for campers, providing outdoor playing, one on one attention and the love and care necessary to create a great atmosphere for the campers while they are away from home. Camp also provides for the families a much needed breath of fresh air and a chance to spend time with their other children or to provide an atmosphere unavailable at home.

If you're interested in volunteering, please check out the link above or comment below and I'll be in touch with you. It's a worthwhile experience and if you think it's something you'd enjoy doing, you probably will, and I'd love to help get you there. Same thing if you have a family member or friend who might be camper material.
To quote long-time volunteer Patti G,
"Reach your hand up as high as you can.
Now reach a little bit higher.
-- We can always do more."
Everywhere we go, people want to know, who we are, so we tell them, we are Fatima, Mighty Mighty Fatima, Yes we are, Yes we are!"
