Trailer Trash: NINE
Chicago's Rob Marshall returns to the big screen with his adaptation of the stage-version of the film 8 1/2 by Frederico Fellini. "Best Actor Ever" Daniel Day-Lewis is a man in lady-land as Guido, a film director who's lost his inspiration and is swamped with visions of all the ladies in his life, played by Nicole Kidman, Fergie, Sophia Loren, Marian Cotillaird, Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Dame Judi Dench and a leggy ensemble.
This looks like a lot of fun. I'm sure it will look pretty, and since I very much enjoyed the original film, I can't wait for this. Especially because of the mesmerizing female cast Marshall has put together to help illustrate Guido's life & times & neurosese.

Wish we had a glimpse of DDL singing in the trailer. Penelope looks amazing. As does Sophia, as always.
A note on naming: "The film's title refers to 8½ being Fellini's eighth and a half film as a director. His previous directorial work consisted of six features, two short segments, and a collaboration with another director, Alberto Lattuada, the latter three productions accounting for a "half" film each." * The adaptation of 8 1/2 as stage musical Nine is 1/2 step a work...so wouldn't this now be 9 1/2? - probably too hard to market...

No/Mo Wrap-Up
Movember
I participated in Movember, a month-long moustache-growing movement, in order to raise money for prostate and testicular cancer charities. Thanks to the generosity of my friends, family and co-workers, I raised $200.01. Next year, I hope to dominate that and help find a cure. Maybe I'll start a team. Anyone interested? Thanks again to the donors!
As of this morning, I am stache-less and back to stubblia. I think I'm going with the stubbeard this Christmas season.
The Stubbeard's back and it's better than ever, for Christmas this year, the Stubbeard is here!
Foolhardy Activity
In case you hadn't heard: My improv/sketch group THE FOOLHARDY MANOR performed three times this month. The first, as a competitor in live comedy game-show JACKPOT at Crash Mansion, on Tuesday 11/24. We didn't win, but we did show off Astro-Teens to a great new audience and met some fantastic people in the industry, including the super-cool organizers and judges!
Last Saturday was also our 2 SHOWS/ 2 STATES/ 1 NIGHT blow-out featuring improv sets at NYC's The People's Improv Theater and NJ's The Crossroads in Garwood. Both shows had great turnouts and lots of love and support. Thanks to those who made it to those shows, especially those who made it to BOTH.
Georgia's Birthday
November was also the birth month of my sister, Georgia, who we celebrated in style at Chammps' before the strangest late-night citizens on patrol drunk-driver-following incident in Springfield, NJ. I ought to elaborate on this, but I won't, for now...
I'm hoping December to be happy, healthy, fun and productive for all!
Enjoy the last month of the first decade of the new millenium, friends (nerds argue my time-stats...NOW)
