Trailer Trash: Leaves of Grass

Tim Blake Nelson (Clooney & Turturro's cohort in O Brother, Where Art Thou?) has jumped behind the scenes, writing and directing this farce, starring, as two twin brothers, Edward Norton, one of whom sells pot. So,...a pot comedy starring Edward Norton? It actually looks pretty good! Apparently, it's had a long road to the big screen after its production in 2009 (but then again, some great movies never get a shot).

Based on the small budget and unsellable subject matter, this seems like a favors-called-in sort of casting job, which might allow featured players like Susan Sarandon & Richard Dreyfuss to cut loose and have a lot of fun. Keri Russel is the hometown, country girl that straight-laced Norton 1 falls for when he returns home to the country after the (faked) death of his twin, who owes money to crime-boss Dreyfuss.

99% of the time I cannot stand Edward Norton. I acknowledge he is a talented actor, technically proficient, and very able to lead a movie; However, something about him takes me out of the movie and back into the theater/living room watching him. However, this looks like a fun movie and might be a corner turner for my audience relationship with Norton.

I'll On-Demand this.

Testing Blogaway Ap for Droid

I found this cute little ap today after successfully using the Droid's Wordpress Ap to update The Foolhardy Manor 's site from work out on the street's of NYC. So far, so good.

Now I can update this blog, TFMs site & the L&O blog while on location! Ain't technology grand?!

While I have your attention, be sure to check out the aforementioned site for that post, which features all sorts of info on our upcoming shows at the P.I.T.

Trailer Trash: Cop Out

So, a few weeks ago the trailer for Kevin Smith's new film "Cop Out" was released (The working title was "A Couple of Dicks") and it was decent if not underwhelming. Obviously someone in an ill-fitting suit changed the name. Kevin Smith has been touting this as "Fletch"-like and like a 70s/80s buddy comedy on his twitter alot recently, and now, with the release of the Red-Band trailer, I'm starting to see how the classic-or-cliche set-up of staggeringly different partners who work so well together and make wise-cracks will work with the always amazingly random Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) and Bruce Willis (Everything awesome.) I see some improv, some action and some movie star-mugging and a lot of fun. I will definitely be seeing this. Looks very funny and features Seann William Scott, who's better than just being "Stifler" forever and rocked so hard in "Role Models".

Side Note: Tracy & Stevie Wonder's VW commerical was my favorite of the Super Bowl.
